Callum Durnin proved to be the star of the show for the winners as he scored a goal in each half before also landing the match winning point late on.
Durnin finished with 2-7 in total for Sean O’Dea’s team and his first goal gave the side in white the initial edge until Naas came battling back with a Finnian O’Rourke goal proving crucial as they went into the break with a 1-9 to 1-4 advantage.
Naas had the backing of a big wind in the first 30 minutes and when Cuan Óg MacAogáin grabbed their second goal within three minutes of the restart they looked very much in control as they opened up a seven point gap.
Clane’s ace sharpshooter Durnin quickly got his side back into contention with his side’s second goal before Adam Conway, Barry Delaney and Cian Muldoon edged their way to the front.
Naas stayed in it with Cuan Óg MacAogáin landing three scores in succession and with extra-time looking a big possibility, Durnin knocked over a late free to his team win out by the minimum in the end.
