It’s the biggest weekend in the club hurling calendar as Naas and Maynooth get set to face off in this Sunday’s UPMC Senior Hurling Championship Final at Cedral St Conleth’s Park (3pm).
Defending champions Naas are looking to win the SHC crown for the eight year in a row as they meet familiar opponents in what is the same final pairing for the third year on the trot.
The Maynooth club are riding the crest of a wave as they compete in the senior hurling and football finals over the next two weekends and they will be hoping to cause a big shock on Sunday as they look to win a first senior hurling title since 1939.
The senior final is preceded by the Minor A decider with Naas taking on Clane at 12.45pm.
