We hope you are keeping well and are enjoying the weekly updates. This week’s edition focuses on “Bits & Bytes” from the past week.

“Bits & Bytes”

  • Best wishes to the Kildare Senior Hurlers who take on Meath in the Joe McDonagh Relegation Play-Off in Parnell Park tomorrow. The fixture throws-in at 3pm with the match being streamed live on the Meath GAA Facebook page. Kfm will have full commentary.
  • The Senior Footballers also play this weekend when they take on Westmeath in the Leinster Senior Football Championship Semi-Final at 2pm in Croke Park. The fixture will be streamed live on GAAGo with Kfm also having full commentary. Match programmes will be available to purchase from tomorrow on dbapublications.ie
  • Both the Minor & U20 Hurlers bowed out of their respective Leinster Championships after hard fought battles against Wexford and Offaly during the week. The players displayed a high level of skill and determination in each of their three fixtures and deserve huge credit for their performances over the last three weeks. The future is certainly very bright!!
  • Croke Park issued a further Covid update re process for “Close Contacts” during the week. Adults and children over the age of 13 who are not displaying symptoms and who are designated as a close contact of a positive case DO NOT need to restrict their movements or be tested for Covid-19 if it is more than: 7 days after your 2nd Pfizer-BioNTech dose, 14 days after your 2nd Moderna dose, 14 days after the Janssen vaccine, 15 days after your 2nd AstraZeneca dose.
  • The CCC issued fixtures for the concluding stages of the 2020 Haven Hire Hurling Championships. The SHC final (Naas v Confey) will be played on Sat 31st July with the IHC Final (Naas v Maynooth) fixed for 25th July and the JHC Final (Maynooth v Sarsfields) scheduled for the preceding day 24th
  • Upcoming Inter County Fixture
    • Saturday 24th July – Electric Ireland Leinster Minor Football Championship Semi-Final – Kildare v Dublin – 12noon in Parnell Park.
