This week’s 3 page edition includes “Bits & Bytes” from the past week, a Quickfire question round with Kildare Senior Hurler Johnny Byrne and Kildare Senior Footballer Shea Ryan.

“Bits & Bytes”

  • The Kildare Senior Football play Clare on Sunday in the second round of the Allianz Football League. The match throws-in at 2pm and the fixture will be streamed live on GAAGo via https://www.gaago.ie/fixture/PL5-21-F-W3O
  • The Senior Hurling Team are also involved in Allianz League action on Sunday. They welcome Derry to Manguard Plus Hawkfield at 4pm. The match will be streamed live free of charge on YouTube https://youtu.be/pabyuwzzclk
  • Leinster Council have confirmed 4th July as the date for our Leinster Senior Football Championship Quarter Final v Louth / Offaly. The fixture will be played in MW Hire O’Moore Park or Pairc Tailteann.
  • Bord na nÓg this week issued a 2021 proposed calendar of games to Clubs. The correspondence also includes group details for each of the competitions. Full details can obtained from your Club Secretary.
  • Reminder that the deadline for Club Membership subscription is 31st May 2021. All Clubs are asked to ensure all players are registered ahead of their return to play dates.
  • This summer’s Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps are fast approaching. The camps will be held throughout the county during the months of July & August. Registration is now open via https://www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie/
All GAA clubs across the county are in with a chance of winning incredible prizes as part of Kellogg’s sponsorship of the Kellogg’s GAA Cúl camps. Kellogg, now in its tenth year sponsoring the Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps, has launched the nationwide on-pack promotion for all GAA clubs to be in with a chance to win prizes worth €40,000 – full details can be found on www.gaa.ie/kellogsculcamps/competition

  • Upcoming Fixture for the diary: Sunday 30th May:
    • Allianz Football League: Kildare v Laois @ 13:45 in MW Hire O’Moore Park, Portlaoise. Fixture will be broadcast live on GAA Go.

Pre-Match Day Routine: Wake up early enough. Try not to overthink about the game. Eat something substantial 3/4 hours before throw-in.

Toughest opponent: Dan Flynn toughest to mark in training.
Team you most like to beat: No preference, I like to beat all them.
Proudest Day: Any of the county finals we won.
Toughest or most disappointing day: Any loss is tough, probably Meath game in 2020.
