Plean Stráitéiseach CLG Chill Dara don Ghaeilge

Plean CLG Chill Dara don Ghaeilge Seolta

Seoladh plean nua CLG Chill Dara don Ghaeilge an mhí seo ag cruinniú de chuid an chontae i bPáirc Naomh Connladh i nDroichead Nua. Tá an plean bunaithe ar thaighde a rinneadh ar staid na Gaeilge i measc CLG Chill Dara agus ar shuirbhé a cuireadh ar bhaill na gclubanna. Ag eascairt as an méid sin chuir Oifigeach Cultúir agus Gaeilge an Chontae, Séamus Ó Mídheach, moltaí os comhair Bhord na Chontae agus glacadh leo.

I measc na nithe éagsúla atá luaite sa phlean tá cur chun cinn Fhondúireacht Sheosaimh Mhic Dhonncha, cur chin cinn iontrálacha Gaeilge do Scór na nÓg agus do Scór Sinsir, scéim scoláireachtaí Gaeltachta a fhorbairt, Oifigigh Chultúir agus Ghaeilge a bheith ceaptha i ngach club.

Luaitear sa phlean, freisin, go n-eagrófaí Cúl Camp amháin Gaeilge sa chontae gach bliain agus go dtabharfar an Ghaeilge san áireamh agus cóitseálaithe á n-earcú i gcomhthéacs an líon mór Gaelscoileanna i gContae Chill Dara.

Agus é ag tagairt den phlean dúirt Séamus Ó Mídheach, Oifigeach Cultúir agus Ghaeilge CLG Chill Dara;

‘Tá an-áthas orainn i CLG Chill Dara an phlean seo a fhógairt. Tabharfaidh an plean seo spriocanna cinnte do lucht an Chumainn i gCill Dara maidir le cur chun na Gaeilge sa chontae chomh maith le cur chun na gcluichí trí Ghaeilge.

‘Plean é seo do bhaill uile an Chumainn sa Chontae agus tá muid ag súil go mór le bheith ag obair le clubanna sna blianta amach romhainn d’fhonn an plean a chur i gcrích. Beatha teanga í a labhairt!’

Kildare GAA’s Irish Language Plan Launched

Kildare GAA’s Irish language plan was ratified at a recent meeting of the county board in St Conleth’s Park, Newbridge. The plan is based on research conducted on the current state of the Irish language in Kildare GAA and on a survey conducted for members. Arising from those initiatives Kildare’s Irish language and Cultural Officer, Séamus Ó Mídheach, put a motion to the county board which was passed.

Among the different actions mentioned in the plan are the promotion of Fondúireact Sheosaimh Mhic Dhonncha, the promotion of Irish language entries at Scór na nÓg and at Scór Sinsir, the development of a Gaeltacht grant scheme, and, to ensure that all clubs elect an Oifigeach Cultúir agus Gaeilge.

Also mentioned in the plan is that an All-Irish Cúl Camp be ran in the county each year and that Irish be considered when recruiting coaches to cater for the ever growing Gaelscoileanna in the county.

When referencing the plan Séamus Ó Mídheach, Oifigeach Cultúir agus Ghaeilge CLG Chill Dara, said:

‘We in Kildare GAA are delighted to announce our plan for the Irish language. This plan will give clear targets for the GAA in Kildare regarding the promotion of the Irish language in the county as well as the promotion of the games through Irish.

‘This plan is for all GAA members in the county and we look forward to working with clubs in the years ahead in implementing the plan. Beatha teanga í a labhairt!’
