Last Sunday, Harry Thorpe from the Sarsfield’s club was the mascot for Kildare’s Allianz Hurling League Fixture v Westmeath. It was a great occasion for Harry and his family, however it was discovered that Harry’s Grandad was a member of the victorious 1966 Special Minor All Ireland Hurling Championship with Kildare. Hopefully Harry can keep up the family tradition and represent Kildare in the future. Both Harry and Grandad were extremely please with the home side’s performance which was capped off with a fine win.
