Kildare Senior Football jersey will proudly display Barretstown logo in place of Brady Family Ham for their opening championship match this Saturday.
Today Brady Family Ham announced it is collaborating with Kildare GAA to raise awareness for local children’s charity Barretstown, with a limited edition jersey featuring the charity’s logo in place of the brand’s own. The jersey will be proudly worn by the Kildare Senior Football team in their first championship match against Wicklow on Saturday. Brady Family Ham and Kildare GAA are also encouraging fans to donate to the cause for the chance to win limited edition jerseys signed by the team.
Brady Family Ham is the proud sponsor of both Kildare GAA and the Barretstown Big Picnic, which takes place this year on 7th July.
The Big Picnic gives families and supporters the rare opportunity to experience the Barretstown Magic for themselves and see what the camp has to offer. Barretstown offers free, specially designed camps and programmes for children and their families living with a serious illness – supported behind the scenes by 24 hour on site medical and nursing care. Everything, including accommodation, food and medical assistance are provided at no cost to the family.
Speaking on the logo swap, John O’Brien, Managing Director of O’Brien Fine Foods said:
“We’re proud supporters of Barretstown, who do incredible work rebuilding lives affected by childhood illness. We’re honoured to work with our partners in Kildare GAA to raise awareness for this incredibly valuable organisation. Barretstown is an iconic Kildare landmark, and we wanted to use our sponsorship as an opportunity to showcase the wonderful work they do and encourage donations. We’re looking forward to cheering on the Lilywhites – and supporting Barretstown – this Saturday.”
Brady Family Ham has been a proud sponsor of Kildare GAA since 2013. Earlier this year, the family run, Timahoe based company renewed their sponsorship of Kildare GAA for four more years. This new sponsorship arrangement includes Kildare football, hurling, ladies’ football and camogie. The total commitment from Brady Family Ham will result in a ten-year sponsorship deal with Kildare GAA.
Speaking on the partnership, Ger Donnelly, Kildare GAA’s County Chairman, said:
“The GAA and Barretstown are similar in so many ways – both organisations are built on inclusion, participation and respect, that aim to enrich the lives of the communities they serve. We’re delighted to work with Brady Family Ham in raising awareness for an important cause that truly shares the same values as we do.”
Brady’s Family Ham supports Barretstown annually by supplying product on a weekly basis during camp sessions. This partnership has grown to include support, though sponsorship, staff fundraising and participation in Barretstown corporate events.
