Congratulations to Wolfe Tones after they were crowned UPMC Junior Hurling Champions las Saturday afternoon when claiming a 4-17 to 1-14 victory over Kilcock at Cedral St Conleth’s Park.
The Sallins/Kill outfit were favourites for the championship from the outset after contesting the Division 2 league final and they rounded off a fine season with Jack Crouch, Mark Kiernan, Aaron Cronin and Simon Hughes all finding the net in the impressive success.
Even in defeat it was still a fine season for Kilcock with Gavin Kenny top-scoring with 0-8 and Ben Mulligan netting their only goal of the game.
Ultimately it was Wolfe Tones day though and it is they who will make the step up to the intermedaite grade for the 2027 season.
