The competition takes place on a three kilometre course around the race track that will test the skills of all competitors. The winners will represent Kildare in the Leinster Competition. The Under 16 Boy’s winner will win 2 tickets for the Leinster Senior Hurling Final, while the Senior Men’s winner will  be awarded the Gearóid Ó Tíarnáin perpetual trophy.
