The senior footballers were defeated by Ellistown in round 2 of the league last weekend on a score line of 1-15 to 3-06. This game was played with a high intensity and the lads were unlucky not to get a draw near the end when a Alan Wren shot came off the post. Kill started brightly and scored an early goal from Tony Spain, however Ellistown fought their way back into the game and where only a point behind at the break. In a game where Ellistown kicked some great point they held on for a three point win. Best for Kill where Kevin Corrigan, Davey O’Kelly and Robbie Spain.

The junior footballers started there league campaign off with a defeat on Monday last against neighbours Eadestown on a score line of 2-11 to 1-10, the lads played some decent football in patches and with ten minutes to go where a point ahead, but the home side fought back for victory. Special mention must go to John O’Brien and Paul Kirwan who were excellent and got some very good scores.

The club are holding their awards night on Saturday April 28th, the night promises to be a great event with the hurling team receiving their medals on winning the championship last year. Player of the year awards will also be presented to the football, camogie and ladies footballers on the night. Tickets are available from the bar.
