Action packed weekend of Club Championship Football

There’s an action packed weekend of club football to look forward to this weekend with the commencement of  2017 Joe Mallon Motors Renault Senior Football Championship, The Courtyard Hotel Leixlip Intermediate Football Championship and the Tom Cross Junior Football Championship.

The Joe Mallon Motors Renault Senior Football Championship gets underway this Saturday 5th May.

Last years semi-finalists Celbridge take on the 2016 Intermediate Football Champions Round Towers at 2pm in Hawkfield.

2011 Senior Champions Athy take on the 2015 Intermediate Champions Castledermot at 5.15pm in St. Conleth’s Park.

Current County Champions Sarsfields bid for the three in a row begins at 7pm in St. Conleth’s Park when they take on Maynooth.

On Sunday 7th May the first game of the day throws in at 2pm with a local derby between Naas and Eadestown followed by Allenwood and Leixlip at 3.30pm. Both games take place in Hawkfield.

The action then moves to St. Conleth’s Park with the second local derby of the day between Carbury and Johnstownbridge at 5.15pm. The last game of the weekend sees 2016 finalists Moorefield take on 2016 league champions and semi-finalists Confey at 7pm.

The Courtyard Hotel Leixlip Intermediate Football Championship commences this Friday night 5th May when Kill take on Suncroft at 8.15pm in Hawkfield.

On Saturday 6th, the 2016 finalists Two Mile House take on Rathangan at 3.30pm in Hawkfield.

The Tom Cross Junior Football Championship commences on Friday 5th May at 7pm when the 2016 finalists Milltown take on Grangenolvin at 7pm in Hawkfield.
